I have Type 2-Meal planning is the hardest thing to learn how to do-I’m very busy during the day so I only cook one meal a day(supper)-However with Diabetes you have to eat small meals and I’m not sure exactly how to plan the menus. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I’m scared and new to the whole diabetes scene. I’ve searched online for meals and proper care…I’m still worried that I haven’t covered all corners. Its all new to our family, my mom is the first person to develop diabetes. Can anyone offer tips or good reading? She’s getting out of the hospital in another week so I’m trying to prepare myself as well as my brothers and sisters. Thanks in advance for your help.

I would really appreciate some help here.My dad has type 2 non insulin dependent diabetes. He tries to keep the level of sugar in his blood within normal levels by monitoring his diet. He has been telling me recently that he feels there is a connection between his mood and the level of glucose in blood. Sounds funny but the way he explains it is that even when he abuses with his diet a little he doesnt notice very big changes in glucose levels but sometimes hes maintained a strict diet and his level of blood glucose rises a lot because HE SAYS IS COS HES NERVOUS, STRESSED, NOT IN A GOOD MOOD etc…so he claims that somehow if hes not in a good mood this will influence his blood glucose levels. Can this possibly be true? Anyone can enlighten me here? Or is that just his impression? thanks in advance

deedumdah asked: I know urine tests and blood tests could be administered but I was told by someone that urine tests won’t even be able to tell if you have diabetes… that you’ll end up having to get a blood test to determine if you do have diabetes. Then what’s the point of getting a urine test?
Thanks in advance
