my mom told me that she was afraid that i had diabetes..
i mean, i have like, ALL the symptoms..
including;
**thirsty ALOT
**hungry ALOT [or too little]
**go to the bathroom alot
**tingling feelings in hands & feet.
**also, im ALWAYS tired.
so anyways, my mom also told me, she was gonna get me tested for diabetes tommorrow [6-24-08] im really scared.
i’ve only told my closest friend & she’s really supportive about it. i have a huge phobia of needles, so i dont know if i will be able to cope with taking shots daily..
if there are any diabetics, please give me some advice.

As far as I know, diabetes doesn’t run in my family. My dad has high cholesterol, 2 of my aunts and my mom have high blood pressure, another aunt has a thyroid problem, and my dad’s cousin died from pancreatic cancer. Are my chances high? I’ve heard a lot of these link to diabetes, but I’m not sure which one I’m at risk to get if at all.
I forgot to mention I am 19 years old if that helps.
My mom has Type II diabetes and is suffering from neuropathy in her feet. I have read on websites that there is treatment but was curious if any of you out there who have this have any remedies for relief…like home remedies or know of any kind of over the counter cream that helps? I read on the doctors wall where they have posters informing you of different diseases and they had one where diabetes can hurt your skin and said "Protect Your Skin" And I am just curious to know. How does diabetes hurt your skin? What would your skin look like when it is affected by diabetes?

She takes 2 injections a day plus pills and lately in the middle of the night her sugar level has been dropping in the low 60′s. Does anyone know why this keeps happening?
