Paulette asked:

I am looking at Evo or Wellness Core because they are grain free which means less carbs. I understand less carbs is best for Diabetes. Is Evo or Wellness Core OK to give on a regular basis as their main diet? I am thinking that Wellness Core may be easier to digest but is this true. With a dog that has cancer or diabetes which do you recommend and is there another one you would prefer?

Any Advice on Caring for a Dog With Diabetes?

:( asked:

I have an eleven year old Lhasa Apso who has been diagnosed with diabetes on Friday. Her sugar level is 324. I’ve heard about other diabetic dogs who died in a year or six months after being diagnosed. I’m really worried. If anyone has experience or knowledge about caring for a diabetic pet I would love to hear it.

Thanks for any helpful answer!

Christina asked:

Our dog has Diabetes and the designated time to which we are supposed to inject him with insulin is a time that our family cannot meet. We really need to wean him onto a new time, but we’re not sure how quickly we can change times. Can it be done by the half hour or does it have to be done in ten minute increments to slowly change the time that we can dose him?? Please help! We need answers!

Is It Common for Dogs to Have Diabetes?

coffiegrl asked:

I just found out that my dog has developed diabetes, nd she is only 7 years old. She also developed cateracts as a side effect, and i now have to give her 2 shots of of insulin a day, along with a change in her diet. This isn’t a big deal, i just haven’t heard of this being all that common.
