I don’t know, but if I see your problem with diabetes I think it’s better not to take ginseng or ask at some doctors…

Most doctors and health organizations consider diabetes a oneway streetonce you have it, your only option is to manage the symptoms with a restricted diet, close monitoring of blood sugar, and expensive medications. Not so!
Author Suzy Cohen believes that you can treat diabetes through safe, natural means, like food and vitamins, rather than stric

Beat diabetes and lose weight!Ask any doctor or nutritionist who treats patients with diabetes: the first focus for controlling the disease is a healthy eating plan. But typical diabetic eating plans have been all about what you can't eat and what to do if you fall prey to a craving for foods you shouldn't have. But now a typical day in the life of

Question by Relationship_issues: What do chiropractors believe about diabetes control?
I know that they are an alternative medicine type doctor, and that they can’t write prescriptions, which for a doctor sounds a little suspicious to me, but wondered specifically what a chiropractor doctor believed about diabetes control? Do they believe/ support insulin for treatment or have the belief that diabetes can be controlled with back adjustments and a better diet?

They are not M.D.s; only physicians, dentists and (surprisingly) podiatrists can write prescriptions. Also in some states pharmacists and optometrists. Nothing suspicious about that, especially since they don’t use drugs in their treatments.
They don’t consider it a cure (at least the legit ones don’t), but rather that it can be used as part of integrative treatment.

Do you keep gaining weight, despite your efforts to diet? Do the pounds accumulate around your tummy? Do you feel tired, irritable, and unable to focus? If you answered “yes” to any of the above, you may be one of the millions who have Metabolism B, an inherited condition that causes your body to overprocess carbohydrate foods into excess body

My mom has recently had surgery and they put her on insulin shots to control blood sugars. Since then her appetite has increased and she is gaining weight. She was already overweight. Is the insulin causing the weight gain? Her activity level is about the same.

eerfoolwvu asked: I realize that if you have type 1 diabetes you are automatically disqualified, but I control my type 2 diabetes simply by consuming a diet low in sugars and this works fine for me.
What is the militarys stance on this?

Jonny asked: I’m not diabetic…..or at least I don’t think I am, but one of my friends has type 2 diabetes and he doesn’t seem to be doing anything about it. He never checks his blood sugar (I’m NOT diabetic and I check mine) or anything of that sort.
Also, on another note, though I haven’t been diagnosed with diabetes, there is a history of it on my mother’s side of the family and on top of that, I am over 100 pounds overweight. Just my size alone puts me at risk for the disease.

I’m so disappointed in myself. I haven’t been in total control of my diabetes and have been eating pretty crappy lately. Well, I just weighed myself and haven’t in about a little over a month and just found out a gained close to 10 pounds, when I already had 25 to lose!!! I’m almost in tears at the thought of weighing what I do right now forever. Is it possible to just eat healthy and excersize and lose weight like a normal person even though I have diabetes type 1?
