There are two types of diabetes: type one you are born with or not. Type two develops later in life. Diabetes is a metabolic disorder where the cells do not
utilize blood glucose/sugars correctly. Other problems come from poor circulation which can lead to blindness, heart disease and stroke, neuropathy and possible gangrene.
The way to avoid type two diabetes is to eat
a controlled amount, choose healthy foods, not too much sugars and saturated fats, and most of all exercise!
There are 2 types of diabetes.
Type 1 diabetes occurs when there is no insulin produced by the pancreas. (Insulin is a hormone which is required to help the cells use glucose/sugar for energy) It is usually diagnosed in childhood or early adulthood. It requires insulin for treatment and there is currently no cure although pancreatic beta cell transplant is being researched as a cure.
Type 2 diabetes occurs when there is insulin production however the cells of the body are unable to utilize the insulin (known as insulin resistance). It is associated with obesity and is usually diagnosed in adults. Some type 2 diabetics can be treated with diet and exercise alone. If they cannot control their blood sugar then they need medications. No cure for this either.
If untreated, diabetes can damage many organs and cause many complications.
THERE IS NO CURE!!!
Type 1 diabetes is caused by damage or illness that kills the pancreas so it doesn’t produce insulin.
Type 2 diabetes is mainly from inheritance, someone in your family has it and you inherited the flawed gene. Overweight, eating high carb foods, and maybe not enough movement will hurry the situation along.
Some type 1 diabetics develop insulin resistance as well, so their injected insulins don’t work very well and they have to take oral meds.
Diabetes is too much sugar floating around in the blood stream, sticking to red blood cells instead of being used to fuel the muscles! and there is no cure for it at this time! There is control through oral meds and/or insulins.
Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder in which the body either doesn’t produce enough insulin to keep blood sugar at normal levels (type 1, or insulin-dependent diabetes), or the cells do not properly respond to the insulin(type 2, or non-insulin-dependent diabetes).
