In the case of Type 2 diabetes, what chemical imbalances in the body causes fatigue? What are the causes for the calf and shoulder muscles to ache? Are there natural supplements to correct these imbalances?

Fatigue in diabetics is caused by high blood sugar. Here’s the science of it: When you are diabetic, the cells in your body can’t absorb the sugar either b/c you don’t make any insulin or your body doesn’t use the insulin efficiently. Insulin is the catalyst that allows your cells to absorb the sugar. What makes you tired is that the cells that aren’t absorbing the sugar are starving from the lack of sugar and they put off toxins called Ketones. You can test the amount of Ketones your spilling by testing your urine.
I don’t think diabetes has to do with calf and shoulder pain. There is pain associated with diabetics called neuropathy but that is mostly in your hands and feet. The only natural supplement that has worked for me helped with my blood sugar is Cinnamon capsules.
Too much sugar in the blood and too little in the cells where it is actually needed. An imbalance in blood sugar is the main cause of diabetes-related fatigue. Your cells use glucose – sugar – for fuel. The hormone insulin controls the distribution and use of glucose in the body. In diabetics, due to poor production of insulin, the glucose is not properly utilized by the cells; instead, it’s floating around in the bloodstream, where it can’t be used as energy. As a result, you may feel constantly drained.
Usually the flunctuation of the blood sugar going up and down can cuase fatigue. High blood sugar is known to cause cramping of muscles along with other things. I have heard that Chromium is good for blood sugar but you should take this while under a drs care.
In addition to the cinnamon above, there’s resveratrol (red wine extract), fenugreek seed, bitter melon, chromium picolinate, bilberry, gymnema sylvestre, and, of course, lots of daily exercise, weight loss, and sensible eating. See my diabetes info page under my profile for lots more helpful info.
As like what they said "An imbalance in blood sugar is the main cause of diabetes-related fatigue. In diabetics, due to poor production of insulin, the glucose is not properly utilized by the cells; instead, it’s floating around in the bloodstream, where it can’t be used as energy."
As for the calf and shoulder to ache, i think it was not related for being diabetic…. usually pain is associated in the stomach.
