Wow. I am 44 and I drink a lot of white wine, usually with pop/soda. Recently after imibbing, I have noticed a time later that I have developed hives on my breast and abdomen. I have also felt “tickles” on my head, face and body.
My Dr told me 2 years ago that I am a candidate for diabetes….am I now on my way?

question ~ i know that in type 1 theirs no insulin so blood cant enter cell so theirs high concentration of glucose in blood , but how can there be a low contraction of glucose in blood (if insulin stops glucose from entering blood surely it will always remain high?) ? some one please reply asap ! D:

5dragons2, NO, WRONG! Type 2 diabetes is curable. FixMeThin7, has it about right.
My grandfather HAD type 2 diabetes and after following a strict diet for a couple years (I think it was the south beach diet) guess what, HE NO LONGER HAS TYPE 2 DIABETES!!! This was confirmed by his doctors!

Also, I would like to add that I have produced the massive amounts of phlegm continiously for about a year now, and the breathing sleeping thing maybe 1 and a half year, so I haven’t died yet. That’s a good sign, right?
I have trouble ‘automatically’ breathing when going to sleep if haven’t eaten before I go to bed, and I produce massive loads of phlegm all the time. Any experts here know if there’s a link between this and diabetes? I’m thin and don’t feel nothing in my foot or anything though.

Were you properly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes? That IS curable dispute what anyone says. The cure is dramatically changing your eating habits to keeping your blood sugar stable, exercise, and get to a healthy weight for your age and height. Your body can eventually reverse the diabetes.

Carbohydrates are important whether or not you have diabetes, and you should mainly be eating the complex carbohydrates in high-fiber food because fiber slows down the digestion of carbohydrates, which would help to control blood glucose levels.
I think neither a “low-carb diet” or a “high-carb diet” are good. Everything should be controlled and balanced.

Diabetes is not curable. Type 2 diabetes may be controlled with a healthy diet and exercise. You live with diabetes for the rest of your life but can minimize your risks of complications if you follow your doctors orders. It’s a life changing disease.

Type one diabetes is not curable.
Diabetes 2 is more of a mystery and what causes it has be speculative.
This too is controlled with diet and exercise.
