It is safe, in fact it’s a lot more healthier than eating three big meals in a day.
It’s not necessary but I think it would be Ok. I’m not diabetic but am hypoglycemic and sometimes I follow a diab. diet.
Yes! It would be healthier too.
Well, as you know, a diabetic patient experiences slight or total loss of function in controlling blood sugar level. So, their diet is very restricted. I doubt a normal person should follow similar diet since he/she has normal blood sugar regulation system. Besides, if a normal person takes too low in sugar diet, instead of getting thin and everything, he/she might experience glycemia or even malnutrition. Have you seen how diabetic patients live? They have to sacrifice a lot such as putting heavy activities aside and live a very restricted life. It is not as good as you might see it.
There is nothing wrong with it,it wouldn’t hurt you it would just be healthier!
With out a doubt it is safe. It is one of the healthist diets to be on. Plus you have the advantage about not stressing out if you slip up and have a few cookies. I have reccomended it to many friend of mine who are not diabetic, and they said they always felt full, and ended up dropping good amounts of weight. GO FOR IT.
Yes, any good diet is safe for weight loss and healthy. Diabetics can eat all foods in moderation and using common sense to fit the calories into your daily plan.
I’m putting some good sites for information on dieting and weight loss below. Hope you’ll get some help from one of them.
The one for Sparkpeople is great, there are teams you can join with others who have the same questions as you and get support and great recipes plus encouragement when you’re down.
The old standard diabetic diet was not even healthy for diabetics. The new diabetic diet that is low in carbohydrates, is the way everyone should eat. Quit worrying about saturated fat and cut your carbs. Everyone moves just a little closer to being type II diabetic with every carb gram they consume. When your insulin resistance reaches the point that your pancreas can not keep up with your carb intake, you are diabetic. When your resistance gets bad enough, you die, even if you never become diabetic. Insulin causes heart disease, cholesterol does not. Every living person should control their insulin.
I’ve been a diabetic for 15 years and I don’t know what a diabetic diet is, what I do know is what foods are good for me and what foods are bad for me.
A meal plan with smaller portions spread out throughout the day with lots of vegetables and fruits is a diet everyone should be following, you may call it a diabetic diet, I’ll call it a healthy way to eat.
