I am supposed to go tomorrow to have this surgically removed, I don’t know if they are going to give me general anesthesia, I imagine they are, but they do not know that I am a diabetic. What, if any, are the complications for this type of surgery?

TELL THEM YOUR DIABETIC IMPORTANT
You have to tell them you are diabetic. Sometimes just the stress of going to see a doctor will raise your blood sugar level. This is a factor in your healing and general well being. There can be complications to any surgery but if you follow doctor’s advice you should be fine. If any antibiotics are prescribed, be sure to take the whole script. Right now, staff germs seem to be everywhere and can be very serious if not controlled. Remember, first thing, tell about your sugar problem.
Diabetics sometimes have a problem with the healing of wounds and your surgeon should definitely know about your diabetes before the surgery.
