Follow doctors orders.
Hate to be cheesy but "don't worry, be happy!"
There are many, many people with diabetes that live full, happy lives. There is nothing you can do to change it, so you need to just accept the situation, and make the best of it.
I think that you want to get more info about diabetes. Please go to

Symptoms of type 2 diabetes:
3 words - Polyphagia, polydipsia, and polyuria. They mean to eat a lot, drink a lot, and *** a lot. Those are questions we are taught to ask patients to screen for diabetes. Other things DM II can do is cause nerve damage, kidney damage, and eye damage. It raises blood pressure and can increase your risk of heart attacks. Bad thing all around. To diagnose it see your doctor and get a fasting blood glucose level.

Follow doctors orders.

Your life is changed forever. There is NO CURE for diabetes. YOU can control it, but you cannot cure it. Your life-long battle is now to control the diabetes.

YOU must control the disease, or the disease will control you. When YOU are in control, you will live happy. When diabetes is in control, you will live sad and painful.

You MUST develop self-discipline. YOU must follow your doctors orders exactly. YOU must remember to eat a healthy diet. YOU must remember to take your medications as directed, and not be late. YOU must ASK your doctor for the necessary education in diet and care so that YOU know what is going on.

TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE! Don't let diabetes take charge of you!

Hate to be cheesy but "don't worry, be happy!"
My dad is 61 years old, and was diagnosed diabetic when he was 23 years old. I always remember him being suuuchhh a strong man! He let me ride on his shoulders till I was 12 :-P Then I got sick of it.

But he could be fine, then the next minute he'd come dragging himself inside the house.. "Honey... *catches breath* give me some bread..." because he would suddenly get VERY weak from low blood sugar. It's 'funny' seeing such a strong man suddenly be like a helpless baby...
But he is 61 years old, and he's still strong! He still works (he's a very busy carpenter), and he still does outdoor activities, he goes for jogs, he runs around the garden with his grandchildren... he's still strong and happy!

I promise, you'll be fine! Do the best you can to be healthy, but if you don't do well one day, don't worry... just try again the next day! And please don't be shy to tell your friends, your co-workers, your BOSS, that sometimes you need to stop whatever you're doing, and have a snack, or whatever it is you need.

I am sorry to hear that! All that you can do really is realize that diabetes is common, and make sure that you take the medication that you are suppose to be taking. Live you life to the fullest, and take things one day at a time. There are many, many people with diabetes that live full, happy lives. There is nothing you can do to change it, so you need to just accept your situation, and make the best of it. Good luck!
