The answer may be here.
They check the sugar content in your blood. If it is above normal then they it is proved that you have diabetes
Your doctor will take a Glucose test.
yes, that’s a good way to find out about either you have diabetes or not. please visit if you need more detailed information about diabetes, i found it very resouceful.
ur doctor might have aked u abt some symtoms like polyurea ,polydypsia n also family history is important in this regards
infact he wants to check the blood sugar profile , fasting n random blood sugar levels, for a person to be non diabetic one should have a glucose range between 80(fasting) to 180(ramdom) .these standards r changed with some differnces..
so if ur blood sugar levels r constanly higher than these levels then there is suspision f having diabeties, more glucose tolerance test is an other confirmatory test , n there r some more to check ur last few months sugar levels.these tests will confirm the disease……..
Fasting glucose tests for diabetes are standard tests done with a physical. Yes, it’s counting how high your glucose levels are. If your blood glucose level is 126 or more you could have diabetes and another test should be run to verify it. If it’s 100 to 125 you could have prediabetes, which means that your body is not metabolizing glucose like it should and lifestyle changes might prevent the progression, at least slow it down, into full blown diabetes. Good luck.
you see , your pancreases makes your body sugar and if your body gives you more the it’s to high and if it don’t give you more or enough then it’s to low.
this is why doctor’s look at what your blood has in it to see if your in need if insulin to help you to live better and not be sick.
not enough can make you feel sleepy and tired and to high can kill you.
you have pretty much answered your own question only they will probably do an 12 glucose test on you meaning you will not have anything to eat or drink except for what they give you in that time…..or is that a glucose tolerance test ? if it is they will probably do an 8 hour blood test on you or a fasting blood sugar test on you. either will tell you if you are a diabetic or not then do exactly what the DR. and dieation tell you to do if you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
