No. Diabetes is not caused by high sodium intake, nor high sugar intake (as many people mistakenly believe). There is a higher rate of diabetes among overweight and obese individuals, so eating a healthy diet overall will reduce your risk.
But high sodium alone does not cause diabetes.
No.. but too much soduim can result to asthma…
Sodium is not a cause of diabetes, but it definitely does cause high blood pressure which can be just as devastating as diabetes. High blood pressure increases risk for heart attacks, strokes and peripheral artery disease to name just a few.
The thing is, most foods that cause high blood pressure tend to be the same ones that cause diabetes…i.e., salty, fatty foods such as oodles of noodles. Type 2 Diabetes (the one you get as an adult) is caused by the body developing resistance to insulin. The biggest risk factor for type 2 diabetes is being obese, which is precisely what you will become with daily oodles of noodles.
So in short. lots of oodles of noodles…bad.
Get some vegetables and non-prepackaged food. There’s a lot less salt and you’ll actually get some nutrition.
Too much salt (Sodium) results in fluid retention.
As a result, you develop High Blood Pressure or Hypertension.
In terms of “Oodles of Noodles”, it contains the following :
1. Too much salt : That will cause High Blood Pressure
2. Too much Carbohydrate : It will definitely be unhealthy if you keep on consuming that for long :
a) You WILL gain weight for sure. It is hard to predict though if or when you will develop Diabetes because of Oodles of Noodles.
b) You need Protein for growth. Oodles of Noodles will not help you meet that need.
