IF YOU GET PREGNANT. YOU DOCTOR WILL PUT YOU IN A DIET BECAUSE YOU CAN PASS IT TO YOU BABY, EVEN IF THE FATHER DOSENT HAVE DIABETES.
Chances are there, but even so usually it will skip generations, however I myself attracted diabetes and my father also. Only way of prevention is diet and exercise. Keep your kids meals balanced, keep him active mentally and physically, and Eat healthy.
may get in the later years or life. but the chances of your child getting diabetes is 50%(no matter one parent or both or family history). nothing to worry keep going on. you doctor is your best companion. follow his instructions he can help you in minimising the risk.
I am type 1 like you. It’s been a while, but I asked my doctor about this. I think he said about a 6% chance.
The chance is pretty low. The doctor will probably put you on a pump because it messes with your sugars pretty bad to be pregnant. 10% of people with juvenile diabetes have someone in their family that has it. That means the other 90% are completely new to the disease.
He probably won’t have diabetes.
Pretty low chances as others have said. Also, the genes are more likely to passed through the father’s side than the mother’s.
Even in people who inherit the genes, less than half go on to develop clinical diabetes. We don’t know what kicks it off, so at this point there’s not much you can do to prevent it. Several studies have indicated that breastfeeding may have a protective effect, however.

your child will not get diabetes. you have type 1, and type 1 is not hereditary. well, if you would like your child to not get diabetes type 2, dont let him/her have an extremely poor diet and excercise routine. i dont know how you can dodge diabetes type 1, because i know i wasnt able to.
