If you are giving 5 shots per day, you should be able to give your daughter a well balanced diet and get reasonable control. Their kid's are doing remarkably well. Our own daughter has seen her A1C drop from 11 to 6.5 since we have tried to implement some of the tenets of his regimen. He also is a type 1 Diabetic himself and during his 40+ years of practicing he has a myriad of testimonies to back up his claims. These are a few reasons why we are doing this.
