I’ve been eating a lot of ice cream lately. I was wondering, could you get diabetes for eating too much ice cream? Not that I want to or anything.

Diabetes takes a long time to set in. It isn’t like a disease you can catch, it is a condition where your insulin system doesn’t work well enough to regulate the body’s levels of glucose.
Diabetes has been linked with a higher BMI, particularly a lot of weight deposited around the waist. You are more likely to get it in middle age through years of unhealthy eating and lack of physical exercise.
No you couldn’t, but you lifestyle could.
If you are not a diabetic patient, by eating ice cream you won’t get diabetes. But by eating lot of ice cream daily your body weight increases (due to excissive fat etc) leading obesity and other problems due to over weight.
Ice cream does not cause diabetes. Neither does sugar
The main causes of diabetes are heredity and being overweight. If you eat enough ice cream or any other food to make you gain a lot of weight, you’re taking a risk, but sugary foods by themselves will not cause diabetes.
No.
There is NO FOOD that causes diabetes.
Type 2 Diabetes is caused by being overweight. Too much ice cream will make you overweight, and you could become diabetic from that. For that matter, eating too many vegetables will make you overweight, and you could become diabetic.
if you are otherwise healthy, enjoy all food in moderation. Have one or two scoops of ice cream, not the whole quart!
No.
“Myth #3 Eating too much sugar causes diabetes.
No. Diabetes is caused by a combination of genetic and lifestyle factors. However, being overweight does increase your risk for developing type 2 diabetes. If you have a history of diabetes in your family, eating a healthy meal plan and regular exercise are recommended to manage your weight.”
type 2 diabetes….which increases if you are obese. eating a lot of ice cream will not hurt you, if you have a normal body weight. your pancreas release insulin to move the sugars into your cells for energy
