my sister-in-law had it while she was pregnant. the doctor put her on a pill for it and she had to ***** her finger at least 3 times a day. she also had to record what the numbers were and what she had eaten. whenever she had a doctor’s appt. she had to bring the papers with her. she had her little boy in april and she no longer has it.
it happens a lot!!!! so try not to worry. I was borderline gestationally diabetic and it could lead to having a big, big baby. Those babies you hear about that are like 10 plus pounds often come to mothers who are diabetic during pregnancy. You have to control your blood sugar through diet during pregnancy. You need to eat a lot of proteins and little carbs. Stay away from sugars, breads, pastas, potatoes, candy, etc…. Eat a lot of eggs, bacon, chicken, fish, etc… I literally lived off of eggs and bacon and my blood sugar went way down. But don’t worry….it’s common and don’t let it affect your mental health during your pregnancy…just control your diet and you’ll be fine. good luck!!!
