looking for a weight loss plan for a type 2 diabetic, hope someone out there is willing to share it with me …will be greatly appreciated….

hi you i am a type 2 diabetic also to have just asked dont worry i am not going to say worse question i have ever seen i know whet you saying and where your coming from the worse thing anyone could as ask or share in someone diet plan diet plans are normally make for each person what will work for me may not work for you tips and help on diets i will give anyone as a type 2 diabetic i know only yo well the importance of a diet if i were you i would ask one of you care team or dilatation the only right diet is the one made for you going on a diet with someone Else’s diet with diabetes is not a good thing goog luck and all my best

I use basicly the Atkins or South Beach phase 2 food plan. Low carb that can be tailored to your body’s needs.
Check each food for how it reacts for you. prepare the food, check glucose, eat the serving, then 90 minutes to 2 hours later check again. If it spikes more than you like, as in more than 50 points, eliminate that food from the plan or decrease the frequency or serving size.
I eat mostly a serving of 3 oz of meat and a huge green salad with tomatos. Real dressing on that helps to prevent the hungries!! No bread, potatoes or other starchy veggies, cereals or grain products.

There is new research out about the best breakfast for diabetics. It keeps your blood sugar level for u to 10 hours. It features dark grains and lean protein.
Phone the nearest Diabetic Assocoation in your aarea…they will send you a proper meal plan and advise you to what books to read..you can also go to your nearest library.
eat brown rice, baked potatoes, kielbasi, turkey sausage with mixed frozen vegetables, no sugar, no sweets, turkey breast, chicken breast, you will lose the weight.
South Beach diet is recommended by many dietitians and nutritionists. Mine told me about it. It’s safer than some of the other diets, especially the Atkins. Atkins can raise the ketones which can be very dangerous to a diabetic. You can get a copy at Walmart for around $12.00. It is not an exchange diet, and does not count calories or carbs. Skip phase one and start with phase two. It will teach you about good and bad carbs, and even gives lists of food you can and cannot eat. It also has recipes and tells you what to do when you eat out.

Blend sugar-free pudding powder with water and low-carb (around 4 grams) vanilla yogurt instead of milk for 1/2 cup servings. For a sugar-free slushy, blend 1/2 cup vanilla pudding with around 1-1/4 cup A&W diet root beer and 6 ice cubes.
Prepare 1/2 cup portions of sugar-free jello in 1-cup containers. If desired, sugar-free vanilla pudding can be added before chilling.

Wal-Mart sells round screw-together containers in the craft bead section which are suitable for take-along beef jerky and peanut 1-ounce portions. The large size measures approximately 2.50” inside diameter by .75” deep, and costs around $2.00 per assembly of 4 containers.

Might also consider taking a daily multi-vitamin, and a 81mg aspirin (if not adverse).
There’s only one that works with enough effectiveness to where you can get off the meds. That’s Dr. Fuhrman’s plan. It’s really simple. You just consume a high nutrition to low Calorie ratio diet. As long as you stick to natural foods, like veggies, fruits, nuts, and whole grains while avoiding (as much as possible) refined carbs and too many animal fats, it’s pretty easy. It works so well, that with a little exercise, I put away the Metformin last December. Haven’t touched any medication since. I’m so jazzed about all the newfound energy and feeling good, that I’ve posted a little blog for folks like you:

And please, don’t ever let anyone tell you to avoid bananas. They were crucial to me getting off the meds. You’ll see what I mean if you read my blog. To tell a type two to avoid bananas is criminal. I eat a banana, several apricots, and an apple every day. To the tune of 125 to 150 carbs… and my blood sugar stays within normal range. Sounds to good to be true, but it is absolutely true. i dont know of a diet plan. but i can tell you whats working for me. i eat more during the day when im active and small meal at dinner along with a snack at bedtime. if im not hungry but i feel my blood sugar dropping i keep pediasure in the house to drink. it has lots of vitamins. low fat cereals and eggs for breakfast. during the day fruits, yogerts, pretzels, lowfat soups, a variety of things. i dont eat a lunch so to say. but i eat a serving of something every couple hours when im at work. south beach cereal bars are good to and you can always keep them on you for those hunger fits or when your low too. 100 calorie packs are good and cure sweet tooths. milk and gram crackers before bed keep my sugar up at night and when i have a snack with a little sugar in it i dont feel do deprived and hungry. 70 calorie packs of jello. im a huge salt finatic so pickles, crab meat, hard boiled eggs with salt, tomatoes, the choices are endless of low calorie things you can eat. i am losing on average 2-3 pounds a week doing this. and to tell you the truth i dont go out of my way to exercise much and my doctor would kill me to admit that lol.
