I am going to start seeing the perinatologist for uncontrolled gestational diabetes. Will I still see the OB on a regular basis and only go to the perinatologist for the diabetes also? Will my regular OB still do the delivery or will the perinatologist do it? What can I expect out of my visits with the new doctor and what sort of extra testing will they do on the baby if I have to take insulin?

I’ve got both type of diabetes on either side of my family.
But almost two months ago i decided to cut back on my sugar
in take.Since then ive found out that if i dont have atleast 5sugary drinks a day in the evening i get really bad headaches, nausea, and the shakes. are these signs of diabetes? or something else?
i stopped drinking anything with caffine in it because it messes with my heart and my doctor suggested.

My daddy is a borderline diabetic, which means he doesn’t exactly quite have diabetes but is in the risk of getting it. We’ve already tried to make him eat less sugar to keep from getting it, but he always wants what he can’t have. Is it okay if he eats natural sugar in fruits?

i am a type 1 diabetic and filling out college scholarship information and when i got to the "disabilities" section diabetes is not an option but glycogen storage disease is so im wondering if diabetes is included in that? or should i just mark off medical disability?
i know what diabetes is. i just am confused as to why diabetes is not an opption when it seems like everything else under the sun is. i dont consider myself disabled but i dont consider lots of the options in this section disabled either. so idk?

I know there is a procedure available for type 1 diabetes that works for 2-3 years (animal transplant that eventually gets rejected by the human immune system) but does it work with type 2 diabetes?

In the case of Type 2 diabetes, what chemical imbalances in the body causes fatigue? What are the causes for the calf and shoulder muscles to ache? Are there natural supplements to correct these imbalances?

Why do you think so many more people are being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in recent years than ever before? One of my guesses is all of the preservatives and junk that has been included in people’s diets as more prepared foods have been in the markets, and fast foods.
Everyone had helpful information about diabetes factors. Thanks for the comments.
