diabetes
mediahoney asked:

I am a weak woman. It is so easy to eat what is convenient. It is easy to eat snacks provided by my employer instead of preparing a meal when deadlines are bearing down on me.

I know the risks of unhealthy eating. My aunt died from complications relating to out of control diabetes.

I bruise easily and was told it could be a sign of diabetes. I am only 27. Also what do doctors do to test for diabetes?
Also I get light headed sometimes, hotflashes, can go from happy to sad at times,I do urinate frequently but always have, sometimes I feel weak like I dont have energy like usual I dont know if any of these symptoms have anything to do w/ this but if I dont control my moods my husband is going to leave me. I dont know whats going on. I will get a bruise and it will take months for it to disappear. I was adopted so I dont know much about my medical history but I do know diabetes, strokes, cancer, thyroid disease runs on my bio. fathers side. I get chest pains on the left side of my chest but its hard to tell what it is from indigestion its not real intense but it is bothersome @ times.

What Is the Best Diet to Prevent Diabetes?

diabetes
Cara asked:

Diabetes runs very strong in my family. My grandmother had her leg amputated because of it and now my mother has it. Is there a good strict diet or eating plan out there so that I can lower my chances of getting it? Ive already started monitoring my blood sugar on a daily basis. Im only 21 and so its better to start young. I want a long, happy and healthy life.

I discovered about 5 years ago that I’ve been hypo all my life. Almost everyone in my family have symptoms of hypoglycemia. At the last hour of my Glucose Tolerance test my blood sugar dropped to 31. It started out at 90. I though I was dying. I’ve followed the endocrinologist advice ever since (no meds, diet only). Now I have very few episodes – none in the past 2 years.

I’m still worried that diabetes is lurking and no matter what I do it will happen. Anyone had the same situation?
