Livabetes give me sugar dizzies asked: Earlier today I read an article about shoes and the different problems with different kinds of shoes.
I can’t find it anymore, which is why I didn’t post the link.
But in the article, it said that someone with diabetes or would likely eventually get diabetes should never go without shoes; whether inside or outside their house.
Why would that be? Thanks for any help in understanding this.

I was wondering how often i should get checked for diabetes because both my dad and my grandma have it. I know that i am at risk because it runs on my dads side of the family.
I also get dizzy when I stand up. And I am a teen that does do sports. I am not overweight.
When i do get dizzy i feel like i am about to faint and if i eat something it helps.

I am doing a research paper on finding out the causes and possible solutions to the problem diabetes in immigrant Latinos but I only found two sites including the Kaiser site that have any relevent information. I need anything that has solid statistics and objective viewpoints(or at least close to it) on the subject. Thanks!

I just found out that my dog has developed diabetes, nd she is only 7 years old. She also developed cateracts as a side effect, and i now have to give her 2 shots of of insulin a day, along with a change in her diet. This isn’t a big deal, i just haven’t heard of this being all that common.

My friend has type 2 diabetes and only tests himself when he feels bad. He goes to his parents house and borrows his mom’s kit. I want to buy him one that he can carry with him and is easy to use;doesn’t need alot of maintainance.

I would like to know how people control their diabetes in terms of personal things that you may do to keep as close to a normal blood sugar as possible. In addition to meds.

More importantly, why does the head of most babies are usually abnormally large after such a pregnancy?
I am more looking for an answer on why there heads are usually large after such a pregnancy.
It is a question my teacher has been asking and he wants to know why.

I am barely 6 weeks pregnant and had a blood glucose test done last week, the results came back high at 220. Does anyone know if that is too early for gestational diabetes, or do you think I had diabetes before the pregnancy and just didn’t know about it?
The reason they tested so early is because my younger sister has diabetes; however, it’s juvenile diabetes (Type 1). This is my first pregnancy, so I’ve never had the problem before.
